CombiCutter tackles heavy demolition

In Atlas Copco’s new CombiCutter CC 7000, suitable for carriers of 58 to 85 t, stability and durability are enhanced by an upgraded design, allowing it to work on the toughest demolition sites.

The sustainable productivity solutions and construction tools specialist says that most notable design changes compared to the previous CC 6000 are wider and more robust bearing points and bushes for the main bolts and cylinder bolts.

Other features include an optimised main body and jaw design, and hard facing.

CC 7000 is a multi-purpose tool for a range of different tasks. It has a selection of easily changeable universal jaws for concrete breaking, with a jaw opening of 1,400 mm (55 in) and a crushing force of 180 t, and steel cutting jaws, with a jaw opening of 750 mm (29 in) and a cutting force of 205 t.

The two cylinder concept delivers virtually constant closing force, and integrated speed valves shorten the working cycle time.

According to Atlas Copco, positioning is easy thanks to the 360° endless hydraulic rotation drive, while exchangeable blades and teeth simplify maintenance.
