Loxam is a gold sponsor and partner of the WorldSkills France event for apprenticeships and training being held in Lyon on 14 to 16 September.

The rental company will provide equipment and tools used by apprentices in the various competitions and trials held during the event, and aims to promote both Loxam and equipment rental.

The participation in WorldSkills France is part of Loxam’s wider promotional activity, which includes sponsorship of the Rugby World Cup, which is being staged in France throughout September and October.

Loxam said; “The group reaffirms its commitment to professional training and apprenticeship for young people, a true pillar of its HR policy.

“As proof, the group has launched a dynamic work-study policy at European level for several years, with the aim of training future Loxam employees.”

Almost 250 young people, or 5% of Loxam’s workforce in France, benefit from the programme each year. These apprentices have the opportunity to continue their careers at Loxam on a permanent contract.

Olivier Grisez, managing director of Loxam France, said; “Investing in young people is above all investing in the future...There is nothing more human than training young talents, supporting them, opening up prospects for them, and transmitting to them the values of solidarity, friendship, respect and self-sacrifice, which contribute to the success of our group and to a better world.”
