Peab to build SEK1 billion swimming pool block in Sweden
12 February 2024
The new construction was commissioned by real estate management firm Partillebo in Partille, Sweden
The SEK billion-dollar project ( €115 million) will include a large swimming pool, housing, and parking in the Partille Port area of the municipality.
The pool segment will measure 10,000 m2 and include training and recovery segments (1,000 m2), an exercise pool, two multi-purpose pools (with adjustable water depth), and a family pool including a water slide. The swimming block will also include relaxation areas and wellness sections.
The pool block will include 95 rental apartments measuring 11,000 m2, which will be built in tandem with the business units.
Altogether, Peab will be involved in 27,000 m2 of the build.
The pool and development will be located next to Partille Arena. The arena is a multi-purpose indoor venue that opened in 2016. The arena project and development around it has been ongoing since 2012, according to Peab.
The company added that the swimming pool and parking garage, as well as the neighbouring Partille Arena property, will be supplied with energy from solar energy.
“Building a swimming pool is a significant social investment and an important place for both exercise and relaxation. I hope that the new swimming pool block will increase the quality of life for the people of Partille and at the same time create a ripple effect to create an even more vibrant cityscape,” said Liselott Bergkvist, Peab region manager.
A turnkey contract, planning for the project will start immediately and register in Peab’s first quarter book for 2024.
