Jan Rohde is an electrician with a technical background as an electrical power engineer and holds a graduate diploma in business administration. He spent the majority of his career in the wholesale industry before founding GreenDozer in 2017.

GreenDozer is an online platform designed for professional suppliers and buyers of reused construction materials.

The platform’s objective is to consolidate everything in one place, creating a vast product range and large quantities, so that architects, consultants, builders, craftsmen, and private customers can all find the reused building materials they need for their projects.

By bringing together as many participants as possible, GreenDozer increases supply and supports demand for reused building materials, aiming to make purchasing and using reused materials as easy as new ones.

A major challenge in building with reused materials is finding a sufficient variety and quantity of goods. Those who have tried know the organisational and logistical challenges involved. GreenDozer is not just an online platform for reused materials but also a collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring a substantial increase in supply.

Leila Steed, Programme Director for the World Demolition Summit, said: “GreenDozer is aiming to revolutionise the way we think about construction materials.

“Jan’s approach not only helps to address the logistical challenges of reused materials, but also to make sustainability accessible and practical for everyone in the industry. We are thrilled to have him as a joint speaker, alongside Henrik Bonnesen, for WDS Stockholm.”
