The equipment manufacturing giant says its booth at the event will feature a huge electric arena, with visitors having the opportunity to get hands-on experience operating fully electric equipment.

As well as a number of machines receiving debuts at the show, Volvo CE says it will host a Solutions Hall, with a focus on lowering investment costs and total cost of ownership for its equipment.

For those not attending the show in person, Volvo is also producing a ‘virtual booth, which will feature new product launches and walkarounds, as well as the opportunity to view electric equipment in action and interact with product specialists.

Volvo CE notably withdrew from the recent Bauma exhibition in Munich, citing a new post-Covid strategy to examine more localised marketing events.

At the time, however, the company said it would not rule out participation at future shows, including Bauma.

Carl Slotte, Volvo CE’s head of sales for Europe, said, “Whilst physical interaction remains very important, we are beginning to see significant changes in the way our customers want to engage with us both digitally and face-to-face. This is driven both by technological possibilities of doing business more efficiently and the increasing need to do business more sustainably.”

He added, “We will continue to review the way our customers want to interact with us and base our strategy on their needs and demands.”
