New excavator simulators to debut at PlantWorx 2025

Cat Simulators will showcase a variety of operator training systems at PlantWorx 2025, including a VR Paving Simulator, a Compact Track Loader (CTL) tabletop unit, and a new version of the Excavator Simulator, which will make its debut at the show.

The new Excavator Simulator is currently in development, and while detailed materials are not yet available, attendees can experience it firsthand at the Newark Showground from September 23rd to 25th.
In addition to the excavator simulator, Cat Simulators will present two of its latest training systems, developed with input from Caterpillar subject-matter experts and built using authentic Cat controls.
The VR Paving Simulator is designed to equip both new and experienced operators with essential skills in asphalt paving and compaction. Using a VR headset, learners can conduct walk-around inspections, familiarise themselves with controls, and practice paving and compaction techniques.
The simulator package includes a headset, controllers, a charger, paving software, and device management tools. An optional laptop is also available, making it compact and portable.
Also on display will be the SimLite Compact Track Loader (CTL) simulator, a portable tabletop model suitable for remote setups.
Both training systems support multiple languages and include SimU Campus for tracking user progress, along with the SimScholars curriculum.
