A senior figure in the engine and powertrain business, Mr. Younessi is Caterpillar’s Group President, Energy & Transportation, responsible for marine, petroleum and electric power; rail services and products; turbines and gas compressors; and industrial and large power systems.

He joined Caterpillar in 2013 after a 30-year career in commercial vehicles and engines, which included senior leadership positions at Daimler AG and Navistar Inc.

Mr. Younessi’s presentation will give a global perspective on the development of power systems for on- and off-road machinery, and provide high-level context for the other conference speakers, who will address topics such as electrification, hybrid technologies, and drivetrain components.

More speakers will be announced in the coming months, with regular updates to be found at the event website: www.dieselprogresssummit.com

In addition to the conference, there will be an evening awards dinner, with winners announced in eight award categories, judged by a panel of senior industry figures. For more information on the awards, and how to enter, visit www.dieselprogresssummit.com/awards.html

The Diesel Progress Summit is organised by KHL Group and its magazines Diesel Progress, Diesel Progress International, and New Power Progress. The event is supported by the ICUEE show.
