The 515 hp (384 kW) TD40E Extra is the largest dozer in the Dressta range, weighing in at 67.7 tonnes, with a near 40 m3 blade capacity.

Chinese manufacturer Liugong has expanded its presence in Poland with the acquisition of components producer ZZN Transmission Plant.

Located in Stalowa Wola, the ZZN factory is adjacent to Liugong Poland’s existing manufacturing facility in Poland, which it established through the acquisition of dozer manufacturer HSW – a deal finalised in January 2012.

ZZN has been supplying key parts like axles and gears for bulldozers, pipe-layers and loaders for HSW, which makes equipment under the Dressta brand, for many years.

Liugong said the deal marked another solid step for its Polish operation as it moved in the direction of developing core parts independently.

ZZN also supplies transmission parts to other international companies including GE Rails (US) and STK (Singapore).

The company, which was formerly known as HSW-Zakład Zespołów Napędowych, was in bankruptcy.

ZZN said it had gained a stable owner through the transaction, adding that its products would continue to be produced in Poland by the same staff.

It currently has about 350 employees and its production hall and office buildings cover more than 64 000 m2.

“[Our] Chinese investor has confirmed that the plant is a very important unit in the organisational structure of the company,” ZZN said, adding that in the future it would be a supplier of powertrain components for Liugong factories in China.

“[The] acquisition of ZZN guarantees the production of high quality components that can be used in a wide range of products from Guangxi Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd. and it will help to increase the trade potential of the Liugong group in global markets.”
