The company recently signed a contractual agreement with JT & Partners Ferrovias (JTP), which is headquartered in São Paulo and provides machine sales, logistics and transport services for the logging, port and rail sectors.

The deal will add Atlas’ full range of material handlers to JTP’s offering, helping the dealer to expand its 60- to 390-tonne product range by adding lower machine weight classes, and to establish itself in Brazil’s growing scrap metal market.

Thomas Valentin, commercial director of JTP, commented: “We are very well known in the segment in which we operate — pulp and paper. Although we have experience and great access, we only serve a part of our clients’ business — large companies’ wood log yards.

“Our current challenge is to enter in smaller structures in the forestry business and Atlas will be a fundamental partner for JTP to meet this challenge.”

Brahim Stitou, CEO of Atlas, said: “JTP offers solid and honest work, fiscal and technical transparency, and high-standard reports and will help with the technical development of our products in the Brazilian market. Therefore, we are already looking forward to working with them and to supply their customers with our reliable material handling machines.”

He added: “JTP and Atlas have the same objective: Premium service for premium products. This is another step towards expanding our market coverage and securing the future business activity of Atlas.”
