The Polish government has announced that it will allocate 60 billion zloty (US$15.7 billion) to fund the country’s first nuclear power plant.

Bechtel, which is overseeing the design and construction of Poland’s first nuclear power plant alongside Westinghouse Electric Company, has awarded the first procurement contracts for its construction.
