Duraproducts completes installation at new UK football stadium

Duraproducts has announced the installation of its recycled and recyclable lightweight linear drainage channel, Durachannel, at Everton’s new Bramley Moore Dock stadium in Liverpool, UK.

The drainage system, installed by Laing O’Rourke, runs along one side and both ends of the pitch, covering a total of 260 metres.
Durachannel was chosen for this project due to its functionality, sustainability, and safety features. The standard units have a large usable volume, allowing for quick and safe drainage across larger areas.
Duraproducts adds that the design helps protect surfaces by managing runoff at multiple points along the entire length of the channel.
The drainage system, says Duraproducts, is made from a hydraulically efficient, flexible material that reduces the risk of injury to players.
Additionally, as a one-piece product, Durachannel cannot be easily broken down or removed, which minimises the risk of the gratings being lost or stolen says the company.
Andy Leah, general manager at Duraproducts, commented, “We are thrilled that Durachannel was selected to be installed at the new Everton Stadium. It is a fantastic product which is designed to drain surfaces quickly, efficiently and safely so should be a great addition to the new facility at Bramley Moore Dock.
“This installation not only enhances the safety and performance of the pitch but also underscores Everton’s commitment to sustainability. By integrating such innovative solutions, the club really is setting a benchmark for environmental responsibility in sports infrastructure.”
