Combination of both companies in Atlanta to create ‘rock-solid branch’

Direct Scaffold Services has acquired the scaffolding assets of Pyramid Scaffold Services, and the companies confirmed that all key Pyramid employees have joined Direct’s team.

Pyramid, which has offices in Atlanta, Ga., and Raleigh, N.C., will retain its independent business as a dedicated supplier of forming and shoring equipment, but the company will no longer operate in the scaffolding industry.

“This acquisition will greatly benefit the customers by combining the employees of both companies offering decades of experience with true scaffolding professionals,” said Pyramid President Daniel Payne. “Pyramid will continue operations in the forming and shoring sector focusing our financial resources and business efforts to grow the company.”

Since 2010, Direct has run full-service scaffold branches in Alabama (in Birmingham and Mobile), Tennessee (in Nashville) and Georgia (in Atlanta).

The combination of Pyramid and Direct in Atlanta will create “a rock-solid branch,” the companies said, and will have equipment and experienced personnel to provide system scaffold, frame and brace, sidewalk and overhead protection, suspended scaffold and engineered re-shoring.

“Our goal is to be the most specialized, reliable and trusted full-service scaffolding provider in Atlanta and all markets we serve,” said Direct President Phil Mumford Jr. “Combining Pyramid’s business with our own will bring so much improvement I am so excited to share with our customers and employees.”
