UK pump manufacturer DXB Pump & Power has launched DXB3, a multi-purpose, Stage V compliant pumpset for the European rental market.

The DXB3 is powered by a TCD3.6L4 95kw Deutz engine.

The new DXB3 is a compact, high capacity pumpset with a Cornell Pump, powered by a TCD3.6L4 95kw Deutz engine. It comes with three pump ends including a 3” (7.6 cm) jetting head, 6” (15.2 cm) medium head, and 8” (20.3 cm) high flow, solids handling pump with a capacity of 1000m3/hr, all mountable within the same canopy.

The pumpset is capable of flows up to 1000m3/hr or heads up to 120m, depending on the pumpend, with low fuel consumption of around 25 litres an hour, made possible by a hydraulic efficiency up to 83%. It has exhaust aftertreatment (EAT) to reduce carbon and NOx levels, which DXB says makes the unit well suited to urban pumping operations.

The DXB3 also has a control system for remote operation.

Simon Ruffles, owner and CEO of DXB Pump & Power said, “I tasked our engineering team to design and build three new Stage V pumpsets that would be able to offer a high head or high flow dewatering pump solution as well as a slurry pump with hard iron parts in every single size. This means we can hit flows of over 1000m3/hr or heads of 175m from these three compact, sound attenuated pumpsets but still be moved by a telehandler on site.”

“Not only did they achieve that objective, the team and our valued UK supply chain developed an entirely new control panel and telemetry system,” he said, adding, “you can tell how much Ad-blue is in the tank, how much fuel is being used, as well as email the Site Manager to advise him when they might need topping up or a service, if we haven’t informed him already from our own remote monitoring system.”

Rob Garnham, Chief Engineer at DXB Pump, said the DX83 is suitable for operation in temperatures up to 40 degrees Celsius, with EAT systems separated from the main engine area within a ‘Hotbox’ at the front of the pumpset.

The DXB3 95kw canopy design is able to house up to four different pump ends, mounted to the engine with a QR housing, pumping sand and gravel, washplant silt, fresh water and other process liquids without damage. Each pump end is fitted with a Cycloseal system to remove foreign particles from the seal faces to extend the seal’s life.
