Xwatch Safety Solutions merges with Hexagon

Hexagon, a global company focusing on digital reality solutions, has announced the acquisition of Xwatch Safety Solutions, a company that specialises in reducing risks on construction sites through innovative technology.

Xwatch Safety Solutions says that the merger combines features such as height control, slew control, and rated capacity indication (RCI) for construction plant and machinery with Hexagon’s suite of construction tools.

Xwatch Safety Solutions’ collaboration with Leica Geosystems, also a part of Hexagon, is said to have resulted in the innovative 3D Avoidance Zone system, which represents a key step towards integrating advanced safety solutions within Hexagon’s construction tools.

The integration is said to enhance proactive risk management and decision-making processes for safer construction environments.
