Vinci acquires Haymills from administrators
17 August 2009
Vinci, the world's largest contractor, has acquired the assets of the UK's Haymills Group, which went into administration on 13 August.
A statement from Vinci said that facilities management and maintenance were strategic areas of development and the acquisition of Haymills' Property Solutions further consolidated its position in the sector.
The acquisition follows Vinci's September 2008 purchase of Taylor Woodrow's construction and facilities management businesses in the UK.
David Joyce, chief operating officer of Vinci in the UK said, "The acquisition is a significant step in our strategy of consolidating our presence in the sectors of facilities management and maintenance, as well as giving us a presence in the East Anglia region."
