UK’s Breedon buys US building products company BMC for $300m

UK-based construction materials company has bought US-based BMC Enterprises Inc. for $300 million

BMC (Breckenridge Material Co.) is a supplier of ready-mixed concrete, aggregates and building products, based in St Louis, Missouri.

Breedon chief executive Rob Wood said, “The acquisition of BMC represents a compelling opportunity for Breedon to launch our third platform in the USA. BMC has an excellent performance track record over a sustained period and is positioned in an attractive market for future growth.”

BMC recorded unaudited revenue of $178.9 million in the 12 months to 31 October 2023 and an unaudited, adjusted earnings before interest, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of US35.3 million.
