11 August 2025
According to news reports, US President Donald Trump signed an executive order extending the current US–China tariff truce for another 90 days, the White House said on Monday.

The move delays a scheduled increase in tariffs on hundreds of billions of dollars’ worth of Chinese imports, which would have seen some rates jump to triple-digit levels.
The extension follows weeks of high-level negotiations between US and Chinese officials aimed at resolving ongoing trade disputes. Talks are expected to continue during the truce period, though no new trade framework has been announced.
