Tobroco-Giant enters site dumper market

Netherlands-based Tobroco-Giant has entered the site dumper market with a 1t capacity, diesel powered, hi-tip model. Larger 1.5t and 2.0t units will follow as early as next year.

The company, which is best known for it compact wheeled loaders, is focusing initially on diesel powered dumpers, with a swivel bucket version of the 1t model to be added soon. Battery powered versions will be introduced next year.

The GD10H uses the same driveline as its G1500 wheeled loader, using a Kubota 18.5kW engine. The machine has a 1.78m tipping height and the bucket has a heaped capacity of 525 litres.

A spokesperson said the rental sector will be a “massive target” for the new dumper, helping Tobroco expand its presence in markets including the UK, Spain and the Nordics.

“We want to grow in markets where dumpers are popular”, he told International Rental News. List price will be around €32-33,000.

Tobroco-Giant said it was focusing on diesel powered machines at Bauma; “We see that electrification is the way to go for the future,  but the logistics of charging can be challenging. That can hold companies back from going fully electric.”

That said, the company did show a new battery powered compact tracked loader, the G5950TE, on its stand. Bauma was its first showing at a construction exhibition.

The company has a partnership with CNH to sell its compact wheeled loaders in North America. In the context of US tariffs, the spokesperson said the company remained “very much committed to North America.”
