UK site dumper manufaturer Thwaites has appointed Julie Day (Echalier) as its export account manager.

Day has 15 years of experience with construction equipment, including export sales roles with Brendon Powerwashers and Trelawny SPT. She will be responsible for commercial relationships with Thwaites’ authorised distributors in France, Spain, Luxembourg, Belgium and Germany.

The company’s Dave Webster will continue to manage his accounts as well as now being responsible for Switzerland, Austria, Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

Andrew Sabin, Thwaites’ general sales manager, said; “We are delighted to welcome Julie to Thwaites. This appointment will enable further product penetration and growth in these key territories, at this important time.

“Julie brings a wealth of experience and talent to the role, as well as the appointment being the perfect fit for all. I look forward to doing all I can to support Julie achieve all she can”.

Day said she had long admired the culture and philosophy of Thwaites’; “Having worked with some great businesses thus far in my career, in similar roles, in similar regions, this opportunity was just too good to turn down.”

After completing an “emersion in engineering and manufacturing”, including test driving a range of Thwaites dumpers, Day will be in the field supporting the Thwaites distributor network in and around Europe.

She added; “I am really looking forward to meeting my new customers and reacquainting myself with some established contacts, and furthering the Thwaites brand in both existing and new territories. With new products on the horizon this is an exciting time to join Thwaites. I can’t wait to get started”.
