Cemco is a 60-year-old manufacturing company

US-based Superior Industries, a manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, has announced the pending acquisition of Cemco, a manufacturer of vertical shaft impact crushers.

Cemco is a 60-year-old manufacturing company and reported to be the originator of the modern Vertical Shaft Impact (VSI) Crusher, which revolutionized production of high-quality road-making material.

Today, CEMCO is recognised as a premier designer and manufacturer of VSI’s and serves customers in the aggregates, recycling, mining and energy markets worldwide. The Cemco VSI has capacity rates up to 1,500 tons per hour and models ranging from 75-1,000 horsepower in single or dual drive packages.

As part of the deal Superior acquires Cemco’s VSI, a 140,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in New Mexico, and its employees.

“We’re honored that the Hise family has trusted us to carry on an incredible legacy they worked very hard to create,” said Jason Adams, president of Superior Industries.
