11 May 2014
Strabag’s Danish subsidiary Züblin has been awarded a €103 million contract to build the Axeltorv, AT2 project, a 14-storey multi-use building in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Thomas Birtel, CEO of Strabag, said, “This is the second building construction contract of such a magnitude for the Strabag Group in Denmark after signing the contract for the Bryghusprojektet just seven months earlier.”
The 42,000 m2 combined office and retail building, located on a square opposite Tivoli, has been designed by Danish architects Lundgaard & Tranberg.
The development includes public recreational areas, restaurants, cafés and multi-sublevel parking facilities. The project is to be handed over to the client by the end of 2016.
