Sprawling US$1bn youth sports complex project in Florida moves forward
27 June 2025
A US$1 billion youth sports and entertainment complex in Ocoee, Florida, US, has cleared key approvals and is expected to break ground later this year, according to the developer, Montierre Development.

The 159-acre project, branded as The Dynasty, received unanimous approval from the Ocoee City Commission in February 2025. The comprehensive plan amendments paved the way for a phased construction timeline that runs through 2027.
The planned complex will feature 17 multipurpose turf fields, a 150,000 sq ft (13,935m2) indoor training facility, two hotels with a combined 1,100 rooms, and up to 500,000 sq ft (46,452m2) of retail, dining, and entertainment space. A pedestrian-focused riverwalk and public access amenities – including a playground and field designed for persons with disabilities – are also part of the design.
The multipurpose playing surfaces will accomodate a broad range of games including baseball/softball, American football, soccer, lacrosse, and track and field.
US-based firms Aecom and MDSX were named lead designers. The general contractor has not yet been named, but procurement is expected to begin during the permitting phase this year.
The development is expected to generate about 10,000 construction jobs and 5,000 permanent positions, with the city estimating an annual economic impact of more than $500 million.
Construction is expected to begin in the second half of 2025, pending final design and permitting.
