Skanska wins three overseas projects

Sweden-based Skanska has been awarded three overseas contracts totalling SEK 1,83 billion (US$ 264 million).
In the US the company will construct a new library on a major university campus in Raleigh, North Carolina, with a contract value of US$ 87 million.
In Europe, it will build part of the R48 highway in the Czech Republic for CZK 1,4 billion (US$ 80.5 million) for the country's Road Administration.
The project is being financed through the Czech Republic's national fund for transport infrastructure and the European Union.
In the UK, Skanska will construct a railway viaduct in London for UK£ 59 million (US$ 95 million) for Network Rail.
All three contracts will be included in the company's order bookings for the third quarter of 2009.
