The contract is worth CZK 1.2 billion (€47 million), which will be included in the order bookings for Europe for the third quarter of 2024.

Skanska says that the project includes the modernisation of two railway stations, with a total of 4 kilometres of new tracks, the installation of 14 new switches, and new station security systems.

Skanska will also build four barrier-free platforms, several new bridges and crossroads, and new station buildings including a small bus terminal in Hrádek.

Construction will start in September 2024, with expected completion in December 2025.
