Skanska selected for US$273mn office in UK

Skanska, a Sweden-based global construction contractor, was selected by UK-based Railpen to deliver construction and MEP services for Botanic Place, a two-building commercial office development in Cambridge, UK.

The contract is valued at SEK 2.6 billion (US$273 million) and was booked in Q2 2025.

The development will deliver 31,000m² of workspace and includes the preservation of a historic building façade (The Flying Pig pub).

Designed with community and sustainability in mind, Botanic Place features 3,700m² of rooftop terraces and is targeting BREEAM Outstanding, WELL Platinum, and WiredScore Platinum certifications, Skanska said.

Construction is underway with completion expected in early 2028.
