Skanska in US$ 215 million hospital expansion

Sweden-based contractor Skanska's US division has won an SEK 1.3 billion (US$ 215 million) contract to expand a hospital in Delaware.

The project involves constructing a five storey, 40000 m2 facility connected to the back of the existing Nemours/Alfred I duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington. The contract includes a 10000 m2 ground level parking garage.

Skanska said it would include the contract in its second quarter order bookings. Construction will begin in September of this year and is scheduled for completion in late 2013.
