Shuttlelift partners with ElectroMech

US crane manufacturer Shuttlelift has partnered with India's largest industrial crane manufacturer, ElectroMech, to supply mobile gantry cranes to the Indian market.
Targeting the construction and material handling industry, ElectroMech will now supply various Shuttlelift gantry crane SL series models, offering adjustable heights and spans.
Speaking at the bC India exhibition, ElectroMech managing director Tushar Mehendale said the agreement would initially see the machines imported from the US - an arrangement that would be re-evaluated in the future depending on demand.
"There will be discussions concerning manufacturing in India in due course. We will undertake a cost benefit analysis after the first year, during which we we expect to sell around 100 units," Mr Mehendale said.
"Our customers have been asking for more dynamic and cost effective hoisting solutions that demand technical innovations and this is obviously a big step in that direction," he added.
The gantries, which can lift loads between 13 tonnes and 450 tonnes, can be adapted across multiple industries including pre-fabricated concrete, steel, modular buildings and wind power generation equipment.
