Royal BAM Group will implement a new organisational structure to further improve effectiveness and access to growth opportunities.

The implementation of this new structure is the firm’s next step in realising its strategic agenda for 2021-2023 (Building a sustainable tomorrow), which was presented in February 2021.

Ruud Joosten, CEO of Royal BAM The heads of the new divisions for the Netherlands and the UK and Ireland will continue to report to CEO Ruud Joosten.

The new structure will see the company create two new divisions, one dedicated to the  United Kingdom and Ireland and the other to the Netherlands.

According to the BAM, the change also aims to help it support its clients to lower their carbon footprint and improve sustainability.

As part of the changes, the current Chief Operating Officer for BAM’s Civil engineering activities, John Wilkinson, will take over responsibility for the company’s operations in the UK and Ireland.

Additionally, BAM’s chief operating officer for Construction and Property, Joost Nelis, will now oversee its activities in the Netherlands.

The structure will replace the existing Construction and Property and Civil engineering divisions, and the company’s Executive Committee will now consist of Executive Board members Ruud Joosten and Frans den Houter (CFO), as well as Joost Nelis and John Wilkinson.

BAM, which will start reporting in line with this new organisational structure in 2022, said its activities in Germany and Belgium will now also be focused on operational improvements and potentially further divestments.
