Klaruw's K190 retexturing equipment is now available throughout Europe

Klaruw of the Netherlands has extended the reach of its K190 from its traditional markets of Holland and the UK. The K190, which uses tungsten carbide tips mounted on pneumatic bush hammers to improve the micro-texture of road surfaces in order to restore skid resistance, will now be available throughout Europe, as well as in other global markets.

With the capacity to vary tip pressure and speed, the K190 can be used on any type of natural aggregate surface, even in situations where the road features rutting or deformation. The retexturing process uses no materials, can be carried out in wet conditions, and eliminates the need to overlay, or mill and resurface, thus reducing environmental impact.

The road surface is treated in a single pass up to 1,9 m wide and because the K190 can operate as a ‘moving works', traffic disruption is kept to a minimum. Individual working heads can be switched off to prevent double treatment and to avoid damage to white lines and other markings, thus saving cost.

The K190 can be used to retexture either concrete or asphalt road surfaces.
