Premium Content

Amid changes to Genie’s sales team in Europe, Jacco de Kluijver has moved to the position of vice president – business development, EMEARI, following nearly seven years of leading the sales team in the region.

Jacco de Kluijver

In the role, de Kluijver will be responsible for identifying and building Genie’s global strategies to support sales and distribution-related growth opportunities within the global sales organisation, either through improvements in existing channels, or through the development of additional distributor and online channel outlets.

In addition, he will be responsible for leading the overall capabilities development and training within global sales, with a particular focus on value selling and territory management strategies.

Further appointments

Under the staff reorganisation Will Westley has been promoted to vice president – EMEARI sales and sales support, replacing de Kluijver.

Will Westley

Westley joined Genie in May 2021 and quickly integrated into the EMEARI organisation, said the company. Prior to joining Genie, Westley spent 19 years with Caterpillar in a variety of roles of increasing responsibility across Europe and the Middle East. Most recently, he was the Africa, Middle East, as Eurasia Industry sales manager for the Building Construction Products division.

Thibaut Itzel

Additionally, Genie has announced two more promotions within its EMEARI sales team. Thibaut Itzel has been named sales director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and Andrew Kendrick has been appointed director, sales and sales support for UK, Ireland, and Nordics.

Andrew Kendrick

Itzel joined Genie in 2020 as regional parts manager, and prior to that held a number of roles in the automotive industry.

Kendrick previously served as service sales manager, UK. He came to Genie in 2020 from the Goscor Group, where he was responsible for fleet and location expansions. “His experience in the rental industry brings a unique perspective as Genie seeks to deliver our rental partners solutions that provide low cost of ownership and strong return on their rental investment,” said Westley.
