Peab in €392 million shopping mall contract win

Developer Unibail-Rodamco has awarded Swedish contractor Peab a SEK3.5 billion (€392 million) contract to build what it said would be the largest shopping centre in Scandinavia.

Based in Solna, Sweden, the five-storey building will feature over 250 shops and restaurants. and will be built next to the Swedbank Arena and Quality Hotel Arena in Solna, both of which are under construction.

Peab president and CEO Jan Johansson said the Mall of Scandinavia was the company's largest contract to date.

"This is a mall far beyond the ordinary, and together with our partners we will deliver high quality throughout the process," he said.

Construction is scheduled for completion in the autumn of 2015.
