19 December 2013

UK contractor Osborne has been named by Network Rail as one of four preferred suppliers nominated to deliver collaborative framework agreements worth a total of £1.2 billion (€1.4 billion) across its Anglia, Kent, Sussex and Wessex routes.

Osborne has been selected by Network Rail to deliver the Wessex route, in a contract worth £250 million (€300 million) over the next five years.

Osborne will be charged with designing and delivering all building and civil works with design partner Hyder and other supply chain specialists.

The other three nominated preferred suppliers are VolkerFitzpatrick, which won contracts for the Anglia region, Costain for the Kent region and Bam Nuttall for Sussex.

The framework agreements, which will be executed on April 1, 2014, cover a substantial part of the region’s £2.5 billion (€3 billion) of planned projects for 2014 to 2019.
