New launches from Cifa & Zoomlion
18 March 2013
At Bauma, Cifa will be presenting a hybrid cement mixer which it said was energy efficient and environmentally sustainable.
Energya 9 is a cement mixer with a 9 m3 drum. It is fitted with an electric motor driven by the latest-generation of smart lithium battery unit.
The battery can be charged during road transport by using the diesel engine of the truck, or during the loading or downtime stage by plugging it into the mains. During transportation, the system also recovers energy during the vehicle braking and drum slowing stages.
Cifa, which is part of Chinese group Zoomlion, said it would be offering a sneak preview of the new look at Bauma.
Three years after Cifa launched the first two models in a range of truck-mounted pumps with carbon booms – the K45H and K62H – three new machines are to be presented at Bauma.
Cifa has produced three new machines, with booms ranging from 25 m to 80 m – the K80H pump, the K39H pump and the MK25H concrete pump.
The PC 506 series 6 trailer-mounted pump, the best-selling model in Cifa’s trailer-mounted range, will be exhibited at Bauma with some innovations.
Cifa said a new design made routine maintenance simpler and less time-consuming. The pump, consisting of a structure with a rigid single-axis trailer and drawbar, has four manually regulated outriggers and two tyred wheels. It said the pumping unit, with S-shaped steel distributor valve, was ideal for all types of concrete.
The company said that customers could now transport a Cifa plant directly to the building site, dismantling, moving and reassembling it quickly, with the Cifamobile 50 – the first concrete-mixing plant in the Cifa range that is transportable on wheels.
Fitted with a 1 m3 per cycle Cifa mixer – the DNA 1.0, the smallest in a range which goes up to 3 m3 – it is said to guarantee an hourly production rate of 50 m3 of ready-mixed concrete.
Zoomlion
Zoomlion will also be exhibiting a range of concrete pumps at Bauma, including three new models specially designed for European markets.
The first is the ZL36, a pump with a five-section Z-fold boom and X-shaped outrigger system. The pump complies with the weight limits for three-axle vehicle chassis. The second is a 40 m pump (the ZL 40), with a five-section RZ-fold boom, mounted on a four-axle vehicle chassis. The third is the ZL56, the tallest in the Ready for Europe range, with a height of 56 m and a six-segment boom.
