The new WA100M-8 is an upgrade on the company’s WA100M-7, promising effortless and low-cost operation and enhanced ergonomics. The model is powered by its own EU Stage IV SAA4D94LE-3 engine, offering a 70kW output.

Dubbed as a versatile machine by the company, it is said to be a good fit for use on construction sites, in the recycling industry or for agricultural jobs. It has a hydraulic quick-coupler, easy fork kinematic and a wide range of attachments.

The bucket size is now 1.3m2, which Komatsu Europe said would increase its productivity offerings. It also has a higher travel speed of 40km/h, a 4th hydraulic circuit with proportional control, and a new colour high-resolution TFT-LCD widescreen monitor panel with 13 built-in languages.

Maintenance and service is easy on the product, said the company, due to its tilting cab. The optional

hydraulic cab tilting pump is also said to allow the operator to perform maintenance on the job site.

Sebastian Zienau, product manager for Komatsu Europe, said, “The WA100M‐8 is built on the strong base of the WA100M‐7.

“And with its many new features and options it opens up a whole new range of versatility. We’re really looking forward to offering such a flexible machine to our customers.”
