Mecalac Ahlmann adds swing booms to Boosterline loader range

Mecalac Ahlmann has added two swing loader versions of the Boosterline front loader range it introduced at Bauma earlier this year.

The AS 700 and AS 900 Boosterline loaders, with bucket volumes of 0.7 m³ and 0.9 m³ respectively, use the same monoboom design as the AF 1050/1200 models as well as similar four wheel steer rigid chassis.

Ahlmann said the AS 700 was an "entry model for rental fleets, construction, gardening" and other markets. The AS 900 is a "professional loader...also suitable for industrial and recycling sectors".

The company said the swing range of the monoboom increases the working range by 32% compared to previous swing boom models of this size. "This makes operations in this area such as filling, grading, levelling and picking up faster and easier and boosts the loader's productivity", it said.

The AS 700 is a 6 t machine and measures 1.95 m wide, while the 6.64 t AS 900 is 2.1 m wide.

Both machines use Cummins 4-cylinder diesel engines. Ahlmann said the engine cooler system is located between the engine and the cabin, which reduces heat and noise inside the cabin. The noise level inside the cab is 74 dB (A) and 99 dB (A) outside.

The new AS models join a wide line-up of Mecalac Ahlmann loaders, including the AX articulating models and compact, low capacity units.
