LGMG sets up UK subsidiary

Premium Content

LGMG has set up a subsidiary in the UK in a bid to build its presence and services in the UK and Ireland, with a new headquarters in Liverpool.

The establishment of LGMG Machinery UK brings to an end the wide-ranging distributor deal Lingong Heavy Machinery (LGMG) has had with Access Platform Sales (APS) since 2019. However, the manufacturer will continue to work closely with APS, which will stay on as a dealer.

“It is through the dedication, expertise, and strategies of APS and LGMG’s joint efforts that brought extensive market share and a respectable presence throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland,” said LGMG.

LGMG added that a large numbers of machines were sold during the cooperation with APS. “It is with a heavy heart that LGMG brings an end to the exclusive partnership with APS. Steve Couling and his team have done an incredible job in penetrating the domestic markets and gaining trust in LGMG products. LGMG expresses deep appreciation and sincere gratitude for this partnership they have had the privilege of enjoying,” said the company.

Build on growth

LGMG Machinery UK will aim to build on the foundations that APS provided and will sell directly to many of its UK and Irish customers from 1 October this year. It will include managing its own strategic development into 2025 as well as enhancing the LGMG brand in the domestic market.

To support its growth aspirations, LGMG has secured a 30,000 square foot newly built headquarters in Speke, Liverpool. The facility houses a stock of 500 machines and will be equipped to store spare parts. Additionally, the location will provide sales and engineering training, host customer events, and enable the company to respond quickly to customer demands.

LGMG Machinery UK’s first major event will be exhibition Vertikal Days, taking place 11 - 12 September, where it will present its growing UK team and new products.
