With a redesigned exterior and zero tail swing, the two Stage V models are the successors to the company’s K008-3, U10-3 and U10-3SL micro excavators.

Unlike the company’s previous models, the 0.9 tonne K008-5 and 1 tonne machines are equipped with Kubota’s Stage V D722 diesel engine.

The model incorporates Kubota’s Three Vortex Combustion System, which lowers exhaust and noise emissions for jobs in urban areas.

“The new machines bring innovations first seen in our largest excavators to this smaller form factor, so that Kubota can offer users unrivalled safety, reliability and performance, without having to compromise on weight and size.”

Other key features for renters include a more durable seat, a fully opening engine cover, a battery isolator and protected hydraulic services port pipes for easier maintenance.

The K008-5 and U10-5 micro excavators are also equipped with Kubota’s Anti-Theft System, which only allows the machines to start if certain pre-programmed keys are entered during start-up.
