Chinese manufacturer Juchao made its debut at the Bauma China show, showcasing a range of seven excavators – from a 1.7 tonne mini to a 26 tonne model – and a backhoe loader.

The company, which is part of Jiangsu Juxin Petroleum Steel Pipe Co LTD and branched out into construction machinery production just a year ago, is optimistic on the potential for sales in China and export potential as well.

Foreign trade manager Ji Cen said the first sample machines had now gone into full production, and around 400 had been manufactured to date.

“We plan to increase our manufacturing capacity to 15,000 machines a year by 2015,” Mr Cen said. “We have seen strong domestic interest in our mini excavator in particular, and in terms of international exports we plan to focus on South Asia to begin with – the Philippines, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Indonesia in particular.”

The mini excavator on show at Bauma China was the JC18-9, which has a 0.05 m3 bucket capacity and a digging force of 14 kN.
