Hitachi Formula

Germany’s Bickhardt Bau put Hitachi excavators into pole position when it recently completed track improvements at the Hockenheim and Sachsenring race circuits as well as at Porsche’s test track.
Recognised across the country for its transport infrastructure projects, Bickhardt Bau, who operates 58 Hitachi machines, was called in to the homes of the German F1 and Moto GP motorcycle grands prix respectively to undertake construction works.
Karl George, director of machine technology at Bickhardt Bau said, “The large Zaxis excavators are particularly valuable to our business. The ZX500 and ZX850, for example, are powerful, durable and reliable. They can go straight on to their first site as soon as they’re delivered.”
“Machines are clearly becoming more comfortable and safer, but our operators also have to keep pace with the latest technology,” continued Mr George. “The Kiesel Stockstadt dealer has been particularly obliging in this respect, helping us run winter training courses and workshops for our 1500 staff.”
