Designed for heavy-duty applications, the new HMK 635 WL wheeled loader from Hidromek offers users both high breakout power and high manoeuvrability.

The 20.6 tonne machine has an articulation angle of 40 degrees and is equipped with a 35m3 capacity bucket, which the manufacturer said helps to provide shorter cycle times and increased productivity.

Its Stage V compliant Mercedes-Benz engine offers 282HP and 1200Nm of torque, which enables it to save fuel by providing high torque at low rpms.

The wheeled loader has five forward and three reverse powershift transmissions, and a ‘tipshift’ function than allows drivers to change direction with a single key.

According to Hidromek, this allows for greater productivity and safe operation by enabling operators to change direction without using the gear lever when the machine is moving forward or backward while loading.

Hidromek said the wheel loader “saves fuel under all conditions” and “fully meets the expectations of its users”.

Structurally, the HMK 635 WL is highly durable and is suitable for applications in quarries, concrete plants and other industrial sites. Its two-piece bonnet also provides access to the engine and transmission groups, which are located separately for easy maintenance.

When it comes to comfort, the cab is equipped with a heated air suspension seat and a fully automatic A/C system. Panoramic windows and ventilation grilles that help minimise fogging provide operators good visibility and noise insulation. The cab also includes a touch screen interface, heated mirrors, a rear-view camera and a kickdown button for downshifting.
