Hiab operates at reduced capacity

23 March 2020

In midst of the worldwide Covid-19 outbreak, crane manufacturer Hiab has said that operational capacity at some of its locations had been reduced.

While all of its production and service workshops are still operating (as at 23 March), some are doing so at a reduced capacity and the company has said that customers should contact their local Hiab representative for any sales or service assistance.

In a climate that has brought many social and business challenges, the company said, “The health and safety of our employees, customers and society at large is our top priority. Therefore, there may be restrictions in how we can interact with our customers and partners”.

It added that it would continue to follow local government regulations and advice to help safeguard public health in a rapidly changing situation.

With many countries and regions under travel restrictions, the company also praised transport companies and drivers as heroes, saying they were working overtime to ensure industries, health services and supermarkets were supplied and stocked.
