Haulotte has announced the construction of a new production facility in China.

Haulotte will open the Fei Long factory in Q1 2022.

The France-based MEWP manufacturer established its first sales office in China 15 years ago. Soon after the company built a dedicated manufacturing facility in China to serve the country and customers abroad. “Thus, it enabled Haulotte to respond to an emerging market about to become the number one worldwide, with the right flexibility and expected response time,” said a Haulotte spokesperson.

In response to the fast-growing China market, Haulotte’s new plant, named Fei Long, will be the flagship of Haulotte’s operations in China. It will boast a state-of-the-art factory on an 80,000 square metre plot. Its 44,000 square metre building will enable Haulotte to significantly widen the range of locally produced products, including telescopic and articulated booms.

The new manufacturing plant will complement Haulotte’s continued expansion in the country, which recently saw the opening of a new branch in Wuhan.

Located in the Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, close to Haulotte’s original plant, the new facility will benefit from the latest technologies and production processes, such as the capacity to design customised solutions for local requirements. The Fei Long facility is located conveniently close to a major highway, which will ease logistics and allow Haulotte to be closer to local suppliers.

Construction of the new plant started in October 2020, with its opening scheduled for the first half 2022.
