Ferrovial partners to leverage AI technology

Ferrovial and Spain-based technology company Sngular have joined forces in a strategic alliance aimed at leveraging AI technology to drive sustainable infrastructure solutions.

The partnership will focus on developing digital products using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) to transform the construction and management of infrastructure. 

Through this alliance, Ferrovial and Sngular will collaborate on innovative projects that utilize IoT and AI to optimize and digitalize Ferrovial’s operations. The goal is to promote safe and sustainable development in construction and infrastructure management.

Dimitris Bountolos, Chief Information & Innovation Officer (CIIO), said, “This agreement represents another step towards our goal of leading the transformation of the infrastructure sector. The combination of technologies such as IoT and AI applied to our industry will improve how we operate and the service we provide to citizens.”

“Sngular has been working for years to transform various industries with technology. This partnership positions us as a key player in the infrastructure sector and enhances our ability to export Spanish technology to other geographies,” added Sarah Harmon, Global CEO of Sngular.

The technology resulting from this partnership will be developed in Spain and utilized across Ferrovial’s business units worldwide, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia. The alliance also opens up possibilities for scaling the product beyond the company.
