Eurovia names new CEO

Vinci’s Eurovia has promoted Pierre Anjolras to the post of chairman and chief executive officer of Eurovia. He also becomes a member of Vinci’s executive committee.
Prior to his promotion, Mr. Anjolras was the deputy executive officer of Eurovia, in charge of international and public-private partnerships. He succeeds Jacques Tavernier who has taken retirement.
A civil engineer, Mr. Anjolras has previously worked for the Loire-Atlantique Department of Infrastructure and then for the European Commission’s Directorate-General for External Relations, before joining the Vinci Group in 1999 as the regional director of Sogea Sud-Ouest. In 2004, he became the COO of Cofiroute before being appointed as CEO of ASF in 2007.
Eurovia specialises in the construction, repair and maintenance of road and rail infrastructure. The company has a presence in 16 countries and employs 41,000 people. In 2013, Eurovia had revenues of €8.6 billion.
Eurovia is one of the Vinci’s five divisions, alongside Vinci Autoroutes, Vinci Concessions, Vinci Construction and Vinci Energies.
