Designs unveiled for US$ 2.1 billion Singapore towers

Zaha Hadid Architects has unveiled its design for seven 36-storey residential towers and twelve villas on a 78000 m2 site at Farrer Road, Singapore. The SG$ 3 billion (US$ 2.1 billion) development - claimed to be the largest single residential real estate project in Singapore's history - is being financed by a consortium led by Singaporean property company CapitaLand.
Ms Patricia Chia, CEO of CapitaLand Residential Singapore, said, "CapitaLand seeks to work with architects who share our vision of building distinctive homes for global citizens. We are confident that Zaha Hadid's signature style of flowing lines and sensuous architectural silhouettes will bring out the best in the site. The development will be a jewel in Singapore's popular Holland-Bukit Timah residential precinct."
The towers have been designed with a "minimised" footprint, allowing space for landscaped private gardens. The towers will also be placed to give the best possible views of Bukit Timah Hill, Singapore Botanic Gardens, MacRitchie Reservoir and the Orchard Road city skyline.
