Craig Paylor back as LGMG NA president

LGMG North America has brought back industry Craig Paylor to re-join the company as president.

Paylor, who retired as president of LGMG NA in 2022, and who previously served as president of JLG Industries, is a part of LGMG’s ‘relaunch’ for the North American market.

“This relaunch is more than a fresh start,” added Paylor. “We are building a company that is consistent, responsive, and relentless in meeting our customers’ expectations.”

At the heart of LGMG NA’s vision, the company said, is a “long-term commitment to the North American market and to the rental partners who rely on its machines every day.”

Central to LGMG NA’s relaunch is its manufacturing facility in Monterrey, Mexico, which ensures all equipment for the U.S. market is now built in North America. The Monterrey facility is now fully operational and steadily increasing output, with production targeted to reach 15,000 units by 2026 and full 30,000-unit capacity within three years. Today it employs roughly 400 people, and the workforce continues to grow as production ramps up.

LGMG also established a R&D center at its Monterrey facility in 2024. “This effort will drive expanded telehandler production in 2025 and the introduction of a high-reach aerial platform exceeding 100 feet in 2026,” the company said.

“North America is one of our most important growth markets,” said Simon Zhang, President of LGMG Global. “With the right leadership, the right team, and the right focus, LGMG NA is positioned to become a trusted name in this industry for years to come.”

LGMG’s strategy “is about supporting rental partners over the entire lifecycle of their fleets,” the compant stated. It highlighted:

Industry-Leading Warranties – LGMG offers a 5-year warranty on all MEWPs (boom lifts, scissor lifts, vertical mast lifts) and a 3-year warranty on telehandlers with an optional 2-year extension

Parts and Service Availability – A 94% spare parts fill rate, with most orders shipped within 24-48 hours from the Texas headquarters, plus a new service center in development in Charlotte, NC to expand offerings.

Aftersales Support – Dedicated service staff and support hotline.

Smart Fleet Support – Provides telematics that boost utilization, streamline maintenance, and cut downtime.
