ConExpo travel and accommodation
20 February 2014
The organisers of ConExpo-Con/Agg have appointed Experient as the official accommodation agent for the event. This company is able to make reservations at ‘Official Show Hotels’ on behalf of visitors at a discounted rate. The advantage of staying at official hotels is that a free regular shuttle bus service is available to and from the exhibition every day.

Getting around Las Vegas
In addition to free shuttle busses from many of the major hotels, Las Vegas has a monorail system which serves the Las Vegas Convention Centre, the venue for ConExpo. This has stops at many of the hotels on the East side of ‘The Strip’, including the MGM Grand, Bally’s/Paris, The Flamingo and Harrah’s. To the North of the convention centre there are stops at the LVH (Hilton) – essentially next door to the show – and Sahara Avenue. A basic single ride ticket costs US$ 5.00, an unlimited use one-day pass is US$ 12.00 and a three-day pass is US$ 28.00.
Queues for the monorail can be lengthy at peak hours, particularly towards the end of each day at the exhibition.
Las Vegas also has ample taxis, although there can be a long wait at peak hours, particularly towards the end of the exhibition day. Those unfamiliar with the city’s tipping culture should be aware that even the rudest taxi drivers believe it is their right to receive a tip of around 20% in addition to what is shown on the meter.
