CIFA launches upgraded truck pump
12 May 2022
Construction equipment manufacturer CIFA has released the K56L, a 56-metre upgraded model of its 55-metre K55L range of truck pumps.
As well as featuring a new stabilisation system and heavy-duty design, the company say that the units are designed with a range of smart solutions that provide better ease of use, robustness and also keep the cost of ownership down.
Intelligent control of the pump truck is managed through the Smartonic System, and on-site operations are made “safer and easier” through the use of its integrated systems when dealing with recurring operations.
Advanced stability and boom pump management functions, such as ASC; a system that maximises the working area based on the actual opening of the outriggers, and MBE; a predictive system that gives the operator the maximum distance that can be reached with the boom, have been added to assist operators when using the K56L.
Marco Polastri–CIFA’s Director of Sales, Aftersales and Marketing said, “For us, it is important to provide companies with high-performance and especially easy-to-use and maintain machinery.
“A common problem for many manufacturers is the difficulty of finding specialised operators, so for them to be able to count on intuitive and easy-to-maintain machinery is certainly an advantage, also in economic terms. Indeed, our machinery comes as the fruit of our capacity to put ourselves in the user’s shoes.”
The Smartronic Advanced package includes the Automatic Boom Folding and Unfolding function for self-executing sequences. This system replaces the operator with an automated sequence that can speed up operations whilst preventing manoeuvring errors.
The truck pump can also be equipped with CIFA Vista telemetry that can geolocate the vehicle, handling maintenance, recording performance, consumption and error messages.
For stabilisation, the truck pump keeps the X-shape of its predecessor, however, dual extension on the front outriggers and longer rear outriggers differentiates the K56L from the previous model. Two 600-liter plastic tanks on the swing-out rear outriggers can also hold water and diesel. The K56L uses the same chassis of the K60H and is optimised for the 10-tonne maximum load on the rear axles.
It is also equipped with a five-section boom with RZ configuration which can help when utilizing all 55.1 metres of the full vertical extension, as well as a new turret that ensures the boom closes more compactly.
The steeltech K56L is available in three pumping units (HP1606H, HP1608EC and HP1808ECX) and can be fitted in both 8x4 or 10x4 trucks depending on the market in which the user operates.
A preview of the K56L is now available via the CIFA website.
