Bobcat appoints Finland distributor

Wihuri Group’s Technical Trade division will sell and service Bobcat’s full range plus accessories

Wihuri Group’s Technical Trade division has been appointed as Doosan Bobcat EMEA’s exclusive dealer for Finland.

The group, which has around 5,400 staff across 30 countries, had a 2019 revenue of €2 billion and is said to be ranked among the top 50 companies in Finland. It has three other divisions that operate in the packaging, grocery wholesale and air transport industries.

The partnership will see Wihuri Technical Trade become responsible for the exclusive import, sale and servicing of Bobcat’s full range of construction equipment. As part of the deal the division will also offer the manufacturer’s accessories and provide parts to new and existing Bobcat customers.

Jonne Honkanen, vice president and general manager of Wihuri Oy Technical Trade, commented: “Wihuri Oy Technical Trade has a long tradition in the construction equipment business. On the maintenance side, we offer a nationwide aftermarket network second to none.

Doosan Bobcat warerhouse Wihuri Group’s Technical Trade division will provide the full range of Doosan Bobcat’s construction equipment.

“We are creating a comprehensive stock of genuine Bobcat spare parts at our Vantaa central warehouse, ensuring excellent availability of spare parts, with fast deliveries to our customers throughout Finland.”

According to Bobcat’s district sales manager, Johan Bursell, Wihuri Technical Trade will bring the experience and market knowledge the group needs to further build on its Next is Now initiative. As part of the initiative, the manufacturer is currently undertaking its largest ever product expansion.

Bursell said, “Partnering with Wihuri is an exciting opportunity for Bobcat to gain the focus from a partner with strong growth ambitions and a solid foundation in providing top class customer service in the Finnish construction and agriculture markets.”

He added, “We firmly believe that Wihuri is the right partner to match the high expectations from our customers in Finland to deliver the very best in terms of products and service.”
