Dr Alex Katsanos, Aurecon

International design, engineering and advisory company Aurecon has appointed Dr Alex Katsanos as its Managing Principal, Advisory for Greater China.

Aurecon said in a press release that the appointment complements its growth strategy in China. Katsanos is based in Hong Kong and will report to Alton Chow, MD for Greater China.

“We see enormous growth potential for our advisory business in Greater China, amid rising demand for technically-led services and solutions,” said Chow.

“Alex’s multi-disciplinary international experience, coupled with his strong business acumen and knowledge of local market dynamics will position us well to help our clients elevate their business to a new level. Alex’s appointment will catalyse Aurecon’s next phase of growth in Asia.”

The company added that, as China opens up its borders and Hong Kong gradually increases its construction expenditure to its highest levels by the middle of this decade, there are significant challenges and opportunities in both the private and public sector in this region.
